Password-protect PDFs for secure sharing

PDFLines adds AES-256 password protection to your PDF so only people with the password can open it.

You can request restrictions on printing, copying text, and editing, but PDF permission flags are advisory and some readers may ignore them.

Privacy and security

Your file is transmitted over HTTPS and deleted after the download window. The password is kept only for the temporary job lifecycle, encrypted if written to Redis, never logged, and removed when the job finishes or expires.

How to protect a PDF with PDFLines

Privacy note: Files are uploaded to PDFLines only for the requested job, kept only as needed to complete processing and make the result temporarily available, then deleted automatically.
